what I would do is make the mini a foot or so less tall and use the ramp calculator on this website to see how long each side will be ( make sure that the transition radius is at least 72 in.) add the total leanth of the sides ramps together ...

totally not trying to be difficult, but will a four foot mini be high enough for bmx? You may want to think about going a little taller?

Hi I want to do a similar project but take the ramp up to 2foot high rather than 18 inches. I have about 15.5 foot to build it in. Do you think a 60 inch tranny is too tight for the extra height, should I mellow it out to 70 inches?

... odd size. Usually it is cheaper and less waistfull to go 8ft or even 12ft wide with any ramp. This is because the cheapest 2x4's and plywood all ... is the height, going 5ft requires more 3/4 ply to extend the extra foot, not to mention the extra 2x4's and sheeting plywood you will need.

loads of mini ramps are cool for bmx. Just look at rampplans.org. You need at least 5 foot for you to air and you need like 10ft on the bootom because bikes are bigger etc. My freind used to have one and I always used to go on my bmx. Cinabit

You could have a spine.. I want one. Go onto rampplans.org. Theres some cool ides there to work with. I would say 5-6 foot. Might as well. You need the 16ft wide for a halfpipe, that is just heaven.. well for me cos I bmx. You could do 5ft then extensions and that of like 1-2ft. Or ...

Benwinch ramp!!

I have been looking at benwinch ramp on the prject page. Can anyone send me plans or if your reading this benwinch can you send me info or something. Do yuo think it is suitable for a bmx or do you think it needs an extra foot or two on the bottom?? Thankyou

well ya. there is no wat you can build a ramp 12 feet wide with no support. you would have to build 2 6 foot sections is the easiest way to go.
