Garage Mini Ramp Plans

... the northeast in a city with a small garage about 21x15. My idea is to build a mini ramp 2.5ft high, 15ft long, and 6ft wide. The garage is very tall about 10-11ft.

My concerns are the width of the ramp and if the length would work. I don't think I have ridden anything 6ft wide, but I do like ...

Re: What is the ideal amount of flat bottom for a half pipe?

I know what your saying, I felt the same way when building our halfpipe. I built ours with an 8' flat section to begin with and it is 4' tall. After skating it, it felt way too fast coming off the first transition before hitting the next. You felt out of control. I spoke with a friend that ...

Re: 4' mini ramp

... Id seen it done before and it is a convenient length as far as building time and price. But I agree it can feel a bit short, especially for a 4' tall halfpipe.

If you build a 4 foot extension and think its too long, you could modify it to be shorter.

4' mini ramp

Hello, I'm building a 4' tall 1/2 pipe and I am trying to find out a good length of the bottom flat section? We made it 8' but it seems a little too short. We are going to take it apart and lengthen it up, I'm just wondering if we should ...

Re: Building 3' indoor

... for the late reply! I'm not sure you have the length for a halfpipe 3' tall with 3' platforms on both sides, check out the ramp calculator at http://www.xtremeskater.com/ramp-plans/ramp-tool/, ... transition radius, 8' flat bottom ) then input ramp-height = 41.5" ( 3' transition-height + 5.5" ...

Mini Halfpipe - additions

... less flex and the ramp will be much more solid. Probably not a big deal in this case since you used 2x6's instead of 2x4's and its less than 3' tall.

Attaching the coping use L bolts and there's no need to drill a hole in the top of the coping only underneath, these are the L shaped bolts ...

Re: BMX

For a good BMX ramp you can't go wrong with 6 feet tall, 8 feet radius. An 8 foot radius is just about right.
