you can use spray paint on the wood, as for the coping, you could use spray paint for metal products but it probably wont stay on to long if your grinding, but you could spay it and then wax it, that may help the paint stay on longer

I found a couple posts on another site re: skate paint and spar urethane as coatings for ramp surfaces. Apparently, skate paint is not very highly regarded, but spar urethane has been used with good results. And it's relatively inexpensive...

I've never heard of it being done. Massonite is cheap and very easily warps when wet, I'm not sure if a paint will protect it enough.

SkatePaint. Saw it while doing some research. Don't know anything about it. Do a little research and see what you find out. Probably only need this on your skating surface. Prime and paint or waterseal ...

Thanks for the input, the thing i'm most sure about with paint is how well is holds up over time and in bad weather. I take it you are going to let your ramp get rained on?

painting ramps

I see that you have a thing in ramp building help that you didnt know if it is good to paint ramps. well i painted mine with a white primer. it work pretty good. also its nice if you put 2 or 3 layers of primer on. if you add some spray paint then it looks better.

Welcome to the forums beaudids, i'm not sure if i've ever seen that done, pics?

What part of Australia are you from? I might be studying abroad next year at UQ. I'm looking forward to seeing the artwork, I've always wanted to find someone with art skills to paint my ramps, maybe someday...
