Hardiepanel for a miniramp

Has anyone ever tried using hardiepanels for a skate ramp. It is a fiber-cemet board and is available in a smooth surface. very durable and rot resistant. Contractors said it could be bent if we soaked it. Cost is about $25 per sheet instead of $125 for skate armor. Just wanted ...

Rolled sheet metal is a great surface. Street signs would be to small and too stiff but big sheets of meatal are great.

Would it work?

Instead of getting ply wood for the surface ive been thinking i know i could easily get a hold of street signs but would they be strong enough for me to put on a quarter pipe and would they bend when i screw them down?

i took of the extemly warped surface ply wood added a 2x4 and im going to get new surface ply wood.

I would make four regular halfpipe sides but with no deck. Put the ribs in. I would put 2 bars on the spine and weld them together or just on bar. Then the surface.
