Re: NEED HELP PLEASE!!

its just personal preference. it also depends on what size your coping is, how thick your surface is, and how thick your platform is.

heres a good trick. cut out a small piece of coping you will use. stick it on the side of the halfpipe with your hand to the position ...

Re: measurements

Can't remember the exact width, it was between 7-8 feet, I would recommend going with 8' because you dont have to cut the surface plywood (4'x8') as much.

Re: STAIRS

... cut it like stairs, then attach 2x4s in the shape of stairs. Then just add plywood. Thats the stair part. If you want to build a tall, flat surface to roll up to the stairs, just use 2x4 and plywood, similar to the grind box plans

Re: is there i can water proof my halfpipe without using skateli

I used Tar paper for on top of the plywood surface, then used masonite or something simmaler. Ten i used water sealer (that was made for a deck) on all the 2by4s, sides, and plat forms. i think the masonite should last about a year so just replace it when you need to.

Re: is there i can water proof my halfpipe without using skateli

... while doing some research. Don't know anything about it. Do a little research and see what you find out. Probably only need this on your skating surface. Prime and paint or waterseal everything else and you should be fine. Probably should re-apply from time to time... Let us know how it works.

Good ...

Re: Latches on flat bottom

... did it in the mini ramp plans? http://www.xtremeskater.com/minirampplans/step5.php

I have the flat bottom connected to the sides only through the surface screws (it sticks over like 1.5"), so it is quick to take apart. It isn't in the picture, but there should probably be a small 2x4 or something ...

Logos on ramps

I have a mini pipe and I want to a big logo on it. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if so how did you go about it. I was thinking of just getting some vinyl cut and putting it on the surface but I am not sure if it will get screwed up. If anyone can help let me know.

Thanks

Re: taer paper

you can see a picture here, http://www.xtremeskater.com/minihalfpip ... inihp7.php, its just a roll of special paper that will stop water from getting through to your plywood surface, if you ask for tar paper at a hardware store people should know what you are talkiing about.
