Talk about ramp building, ask questions

Postby stonewall1 on Mon Feb 25, 2008 7:24 am

I am in the process of building 3' high by 8' wide with 8' of flat half pipe. I am going to put pool coping on one side and a steel coping on the other.

My question is... Can I use an 8' transition on such a small ramp. Will that give me the speed I need. Or should I use your recommended 6' -10" transition or compromise with a 7' or 7'-6" transition.

I have recently started skating @ 43 and I am looking for a mellow half pipe.

Thank you,

Hector Santos

i agree, the 6'10" transition should work fine. 8' transitions arent common unless you have a vert ramp or something else really tall
