Quarter Pipe Wheel System?

Postby baker on Wed May 28, 2008 5:22 pm

Thanks for the Quarter Pipe plans. I had to do some modifications based on our requirements and available material but the new ramp works great. One problem...it weighs a ton!

Anyone ever put a wheel system on one of these to move it around without breaking your back? I was thinking along the lines of four front trailer wheels. Two on each side that you can retract the wheels when in use. Anyone tried this or something less expensive and easier!

Thanks!

The boat trailer front 'retractable' wheel worked great. I used 2 of them for the back part of the ramp. Still working on what to do for the front. Now I am just sliding 2 skateboards under the front and it works fine.

I would post pics but my only way of hosting pics are Photobucket and Snapfish. That does not seem to work here.

Put wheels on the back of the ramp so you can tip it over and it would be vertical. Then you can push it wherever you want it.
