Mini Halfpipe Wheels

Postby psparrow on Sun Apr 19, 2009 7:29 pm

I'm building the mini halfpipe for my son. We don't have much space, so my plan is to stow it in our 2 car garage when not in use, the out to the cul-de-sac when in use. Has anyone come up with a clever way to add retractable wheels to the three peices (2 quarters plus the center) for easy moving? TIA.

i wouldnt bother with retractable wheels. on the two quarters just extend the plywood so it matches the platform, frame the inside on the two by fours and screw some shopping cart like wheels to the two by fours on the back. it should look like there is four wheels sticking out of the back. i am not sure what to tell you on the center. maybe just get a dolley and cart it in??

So I would grab the quarter from the shallow end and lift up to tilt it back, and the wheels would make contact with the ground, then I just roll it? That could work. Thank you. Now to steal a couple of shopping carts j/k.
